15-Minutes of Solitude

I believe most of us are feeling chaotic these days. I don’t see the need to mention the reason, as our concerns can be so distinct from each other. Today, I want to share how I’m trying to find peace and energy within myself.

This is actually a well-known notion; I’m rather naming it: “15 Minutes of Solitude”. It is about staying alone for 15 minutes (at least) and ordering your thoughts. Not reading alone, not cleaning alone – but just sitting and observing.

As much calm you feel yourself when you are alone – as mentally healthy, spiritually balanced you are. It is so common now that people “run” from one place to another, do everything and anything to not let themselves be alone. They are already so into this that they forgot a long ago why and how they started walking on this path, what they are seeking. This can be tragic.

Feeling chaos? – stay alone.
Without energy? – walk alone.
Overthinking and depressing? – sit alone.

Do nothing and just sit, stay or walk alone, don’t even listen to music. Instead, observe the nature. Listen to the leaves whistling, or drops reaching the ground. Be in that much peace and silence. These 15 minutes of total silence are a comeback to your real virtue.

It is interesting but at the most silent moments, the deepest feelings and truths come out. Not everyone can face it because sometimes the truth can be scary. But: the day you face your inner self and your true version, this is the day you start living.

Heal yourself. Heal your heart.
